GENERAL DESCRIPTION and TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
The RSFC2 is a Microprocessor controlled fast Async bi-directional RS232 <=> RS485 interface converter for 2-wire, half-duplex applications, with an automatic TX enable circuit, that will operate at data rates up to 115.2Kbps. The unit has jumpers for bias, termination, RS232 DTE/DCE selection, communications specification (for character oriented timing) and two setting for full automatic operation (bit oriented timing). The unit has two LED indicators, an RS485 Wago terminal strip, 2 RJ11/12 RS485 connectors, built-in transient protection, and an onboard switching regulator.
The RSFC2 is designed for office and/or industrial applications (non-isolated), and provides precision timing in character oriented timing applications. Can be used for point to point, or multi-drop 2-wire systems.
